Classroom Valentine Party

Valentines Day is the easiest party to plan.  At least 20 minutes goes to opening and looking at all the fun Valentines from classmates.  I still had some entertainment to plan....

Kindergarten Party: Paper Crowns

I thought these were super cute for a Valentines Party hat, so I made pink ones for the girls and red ones for the boys.

Magnetic Valentines

I cut each kid a heart shaped magnet with coloring paper on it.  They got to color with markers and crayons however they wanted and make a Valentine to give to someone special.

Game: Pin the heart on Cupid's arrow and Pin the bow tie on Mr. Valentine.

Complete with heart blindfolds made from felt and elastic.  There were super easy to put on each kid and they looked super cute on them.

*2nd grade had a birthday party as well, so just the game was enough to fill the time.

Valentine Treat Boxes

I made these treat boxes for the kids to fill with kisses for their teachers.  I let them pick papers and apply the stickers to the kisses.  They had fun helping and I thought they turned out super cute!

I liked the size cut from an 8 1/2 by 11 sheet of cardstock, but tried it with a 12x12, too.  Still turned out great, but would have held a ton of kisses!!

Classroom Valentines 2015

So this year I was seriously tempted to pick up a box of candy valentines where all my kids had to do was write their names and deliver.  But....I didn't.  I let my kids pick what they wanted from ideas on Pinterest and we recreated them.

First, Kyla wanted an Olaf Valentine and she found this one funny.  It was super simple.  I found some Valentine's pencils and washi tape to secure them and had cute Valentines that fit Kyla.

Next, Nathan wanted to make everyone a rainbow loom bracelet.  Super ambitious on his part, my part--super easy.  I created this simple printable and punched some holes to loop the bracelet through.

Lastly, Caden wanted several different Valentines...this is his first year in school, so he was quite excited.  He finally decided on these cute animals.  I downloaded the free svg from lia griffith.  *She did hers differently and super cute--check them out!

Valentine Shirts

I actually got some Valentine shirts made for my kids this year....

Wow, that's a bad picture.  That shirt is black.  Hmmm.

This shirt is black, too.  Eh.  I was lucky to get shirts done, I won't complain about the photo quality.
And one outfit:

Olaf Birthday Party

My daughter wanted an Olaf Birthday Party.  It turned out to be a lot of fun--lots of laughter!

Invites:

Decorations:  I cut paper snowflakes and hung them, I also made these Olaf snowflakes to hang.
I saw this idea on Pinterest, he was fun to make and turned out super cute!

Craft: I helped the girls make necklaces.  For some it was a challenge, but they all sat around the table visiting and laughing while we worked on them.

Games: Pin the Nose on Olaf.

Candy Bar Game: Roll a 6, get a candy bar.  You can steal or grab from the center.  Once all candy bars are gone in the center, the game is over.

Drinks: I found some cute snowflake paper straws and added some vinyl to some jars.

For the drink, we took Sprite and added one pkg of blue kool-aid to every 2 liter.  It was super easy, and they loved it.

 Food:

 Cupcakes:
Jello "Ice cubes"...by the way, I found Jolly Rancher flavored and it was really good.  Jello brand's blue jello is nasty!

Kyla also wanted these chocolate dipped marshmallows.  They were also really easy and the girls thought they were fun.
Kyla's Cake. ( I actually made this for her actual birthday, not the party, but I thought I"d still share)
I used sugar sheets for Olaf and an orange tootsie roll for the nose.
Party Favors: I sent each girl home with a personalized bucket filled with some goodies.

I also added some M&M s with Olaf toppers to the buckets.

I made 2 of these onesies as part of a baby gift.  I love these little shirts!
