Barbie Birthday

Kyla celebrated her birthday this month and wanted pink and barbie.  I am thrilled, one girl and she's super girly :)

So these are the cupcakes I made for school: (Barbies cut from Black Sugar sheets, pearl sprinkles)

And her cake: (I used black sugar sheets to cut the barbie silhouette out and pearl candies for the edge of the cake)

And some simple decorations in the dining room:

And we painted her nails:

And she wore her matching Barbie outfit I made her: (already posted when I made it last summer, but here's another picture)

Clock for Kyla's Room

I found this clock at Walmart for $4, loved the pink, but not the plain white clock face, so I took it apart, added scrapbook paper and put vinyl clock image on the paper.  Then I put the clock back together and had a clock I really liked for Kyla's room. Then I made this one for my craft room:

New Bow Holder

My super awesome friend gave me this old frame for Christmas.  I finally got around to refinishing it last week.  I decided to use it in our bathroom to contain Kyla's bows (her other one was too small and just not as cute as this one) so I put chicken wire in it.  Works great!
Of course, I added a little vinyl to it:

I really enjoyed that my friend came and did this project with me.  It was fun to visit while we 'worked'.

Hearts on String Headband

I found this idea on pinterest and thought I'd make one for Kyla.  I cut the felt hearts out on my Silhouette Cameo, making this a fast, easy project.

I did her hair a few different ways with it.   These are a few pictures I managed to snap of her wearing it:

Princess and the Popstar Party

Kyla wanted to have a Princess and the Popstar party this year.  I used my Silhouette to help me create the party for her:

Cupcakes and Pop for her school classmates:

I stamped some stars on napkins, added a crown cupcake wrapper with a purple "rockstar" label and used Wilton's chocolate crown mold to create chocolate toppers for the cupcakes.  Then I cut a strip of stars to wrap around the cans of pop:
Decorations at home:

I usually hang balloons from the ceiling, but since I could cut fun shapes out, I used my Silhouette to create stars and crowns to hang.

Then I cut some shapes to decorate the cake:
(I LOVE the print and cut feature of the Silhouette!!  Can't wait to do some more projects!)
