Pumpkin Carving

Helping five kids carve pumpkins can be quite the task, but this year was a little easier.  I let the kids pick what they wanted and then I cut the template out.  I attached the cutout using pins and let the kids trace and color in the design.  Then John helped them cut each one out.  (John also found an awesome pumpkin gutting tool that saved time and mess cleaning the pumpkins out!)

2nd Grade Party

For this party we had 4 games and divided the kids into 4 groups and rotated them through.  We finished with donuts and chocolate milk and a Halloween Story.

** If I were to do this again I'd have 1 or 2 more games so that the groups were smaller for the build a pumpkin, that one took a while for a group of 6 and by then the other games ran too long, but the kids seemed to have fun regardless.

Games:

Witch Hat Ring Toss:
 Bean Bag Toss:
                                                                  With Prizes inside
 Roll a Jack-O-Lantern:
The first one to build their pumpkin won.  Then they all finished off their pumpkins and had a cute decoration to take home.
