Ninjago Party

My son wanted a Ninjago party and I was glad for all of the fun ideas on pinterest to make it happen, because there are not a lot of party supplies available for Ninjago.   It turned out to be a lot of fun.

Each guest arrived and picked a Ninjago shirt:

Then I matched them with matching headbands personalized with their names.

I found a utube video on making paper ninja stars (ok, not the actual shape of the ninjago ones, but these 2nd graders didn't say anything).  I set out crayons and markers and let them each decorate them.

Then I set up a game of printed bad guys from Ninjago and they took turns trying to knock them over with their paper stars.

We played a game of Sensei Wu says...

Then I blew up some balloons and showed them how to make swords.  They enjoyed fighting and then my awesome husband set up a game on his computer and put it on the tv screen (Ball Strike) and used the swords swinging to the swords at the balls.

We also played a game of "Don't Eat Ninjago" but instead of a game board, we used kisses with Ninjago stickers.

We continued with some Ninja training in our hallway:

Of course we had cupcakes complete with Ninjago toppers:

And refreshed with large powerades--Ninjago style:

We handed out a few last party favors on their way out the door.  A fortune cookie and a Ninjago M&M pkg.

Then we also had treats to bring to school and we stuck with Ninjago:
Drinks:
 Cupcakes:
(aren't they fun, all packaged and ready to go...)

And the his large cake we used to celebrate as a family was also Ninjago.
