Hearts on String Headband

I found this idea on pinterest and thought I'd make one for Kyla.  I cut the felt hearts out on my Silhouette Cameo, making this a fast, easy project.

I did her hair a few different ways with it.   These are a few pictures I managed to snap of her wearing it:

John's Valentine

I like to do little notes and treats leading up to Valentine's Day.  So this year, these are some notes and treats he got in his lunchbox:

Love Potion No. 9: I created the label in my Silhouette Cameo, but the idea came from the Dating Divas.

Love you to Pieces:

All that and a bag of chips:

Fortunate to have you:

Wormed your way into my heart.  This was a free printable from The Bubblegum Tree

This one was probably John's favorite.  He loves lemonade and claims this is the best one (Simply Lemonade).  Pucker Up Valentine:

Funny Notes for the lunchbox.  I found the idea on Pinterest.  They were cards found here, I turned them into heart shaped notes: (You have to read the small print)

Nuts for you:

Angry Bird Valentines

I came across this idea on Pinterest...it linked to Brassy Apple.    Nathan LOVES angry birds, so he this was his pick for his Classroom Valentines. It had a free printable, but I didn't want to handcut all those valentines out.  So I used my Silhouette program to draw up a similar pattern, then let it do all the cutting.  :)  I used her free printable for the tags.

I spent an afternoon making these with Nathan and he said it was lots of fun.  It took some time to make all of these, but it was worth it to see him so excited and was a fun project for us to have one-on-one time with each other.

Heart Box Valentines

Kyla had a hard time picking her Valentine's out this year.  She decided on this one because she has really wanted to learn to sew.

I let her stitch one side closed and then she filled them with 2 Hershey kisses.  I sewed the bottoms for her since it was a little harder to stitch with the candies.

She had a lot of fun and it was a good starter project for her on the sewing machine.

I got the pattern for the box at the Silhouette Online Store.

Valentine Pillowcases

Last year I bought some cute Valentine's fabric and had plans to make a couple of pillowcases, but I never got it done, so a few weeks ago, I pulled that fabric out and got them done.  The kids were excited they will all have their own pillowcases for Valentine's Day.

I used the tutorial at twiddletails.   It has great step-by-step directions along with pictures making it really easy to understand.

Fabric I used:
3/4 yard main fabric
12 inches large trim
1 1/2 to 3 inches for small trim

I used 3 inches for the pink trim, 2 inches for the white.
