Thanks! No, they are not paper. I found bunches of fall flowers on clearance last fall (or was it the fall before that?) at Michael's for really cheap and had to buy some knowing I could find a use for them....so glad I did. I pulled them apart and still have a bunch left. They were really easy to work with...I may have to watch for more flowers on clearance so I can make some with different colors.
