Love these Dresses
I love how fast these whip up...I love that Kyla thinks she's a princess wearing one...I love that it looks like summer!
Kyla picked the one with the most color of course! I got it on sale at Hancock for around $6 and the t-shirt was on sale at Target for $4. And of course the new sandals from Target were just right to give it the summer look.

Easter Egg Dye
I made my own dye this year for the eggs. We used the coupon to save $1 and bought some neon colors for this year.
Not to worry, the dye came off with a nice soak in the tub.
Recipe for egg dye:
(For each color cup)
1 tsp of vinegar
10 drops of food coloring
1/2 cup boiling water
Let cool and then dye eggs.

Saturday Easter Egg Hunt
If you click on this picture to enlarge it you will see eggs piled in bushes and on the back strips of grass, too! It is so neat they do this!
Last year Stephanie told us about the nursing home in town doing this egg hunt. This is just the lawn for the 3 years and younger group. Each kid walked away with a grocery bag full of eggs and toys. This year was not as crowded, probably due to the rainy weather we've been having. Kyla had so much fun picking up the eggs and a couple of toys. Nathan quickly discovered that the eggs had candy in them--he started picking up eggs or stepping on them to get the candy out and would throw the plastic egg back on the ground. Funny kid!

Bedtime Stories
We rented Bedtime Stories last night and really enjoyed it. We found ourselves laughing a lot. It was a great end to our day yesterday.

Sun Catcher Eggs
These turned out cuter than I expected!
I used contact paper and put a hollowed out egg shape on it and let the kids put squares of tissue paper in the middle on the sticky contact paper. When they were done I trimmed the outside edges of the eggs and hung in a sunny window. The sunlight makes them look cool.
I saw several people doing these on their blogs, I just can't remember which ones, but I am grateful for the idea.
